Help our community support one another in moments of loss.

Muwasat is sustained by its members and powered by volunteers. The work is meaningful but never overwhelming — most volunteer roles are administrative or event-based. By giving a few hours of your time, you help bereaved families in our community find dignity and ease at the hardest moment of their lives.
Helping with logistics of the janazah prayer and the condolence gathering: communicating with the family, arranging seating, hospitality, and on-the-ground coordination at the mosque or community centre.
Maintaining membership records, processing applications, tracking contributions, preparing the Board's annual financial summary, and supporting general office operations.
Drafting newsletters and member updates, managing Muwasat's social media presence, and helping introduce Muwasat to new community members.
Helping set up food, seating, and arrangements at condolence gatherings hosted by member families.
Muwasat volunteers do not handle the deceased, perform Ghusl, transport remains, or perform any clinical or religious rites. These services are provided exclusively by Muwasat's licensed Islamic funeral partners in the GTA, or by the family's chosen mosque or licensed provider outside the GTA.
